Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has denied rumours that assistant manager Steve Bould gave the players a dressing down following their 2-0 defeat to Swansea.
The Gunners are now 10th in the Premier League after picking up two points from a possible nine in the past week and it had been reported that the former defender had laid into the players after their embarrassing defeat to the Swans.
“That’s not true at all,” Wenger said.
“There’s nothing more irritating than superficial information nowadays.
“It would be better if people are a bit responsible for what they write.
“I take my responsibilities, but I think to inform people in the wrong way is bad as well.
“It’s time for some people to realise that.”
Manager Arsene Wenger maintains Arsenal now have a third-place finish in their sights after relegating FA Cup winners Wigan with a 4-1 win at the Emirates Stadium - but his side could yet end up in a play-off with Chelsea for automatic Champions League qualification.
