Transfer news: The 23-year-old is in the last year of his contract at the Gunners
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger remains hopeful that Theo Walcott will sign a new deal with the club.
The England international is out of contract next summer and has been linked with a move away from north London.
“Negotiations continue, at the moment not directly with me, but we try to sort it out before the window closes, one way or the other,” Wenger said.
“We want to extend his contract, but you need not only our desire. I think his desire is right, and we need to find an agreement. I could spend all my press conferences talking about the word ‘if’, but let’s live in the real world, both parties are at the table.”
Fiorentina director Daniele Pradè insists there has been no contact from Arsenal over striker Stevan Jovetic.
