Transfer news: Paris Saint-Germain have not held talks with Robin van Persie

Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser al-Khelaifi has insisted that there have been no bids for Arsenal star Robin van Persie.

The Dutchman revealed on Wednesday that he would not sign a new contract and has been linked with a host of clubs, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus, Real Madrid, Barcelona and PSG.

But the French club have not spoken to the striker, despite reports suggesting that is the case.

“We have never talked with Van Persie,” al-Khelaifi told l’Equipe.

“We trust our current forwards. But we are trying to find another one.”
