Transfer news: Sao Paulo are confident of landing on-loan Arsenal midfielder Denilson on a permanent deal.
The 24-year-old has been with Sao Paulo since 2011 and the club claim he has no desire to return to England.
“I believe we’ll reach an agreement with Arsenal,” Sao Paulo vice-president Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopes told UOL.
“We have heard from Denilson that he doesn’t want to return to England, that he wants to stay here with us.
“I think our relations with Arsenal will help that to happen.”
German forward Lukas Podolski has been linked with a switch to Juventus after being the most substituted of Arsenal’s attackers this season.
