Carlos Vela says he is happy at Spanish club Real Sociedad amid speculation linking him with a return to Arsenal.
The Mexican striker made a permanent switch to the Basque club last summer after a successful loan spell.
He has been in impressive form this season, hitting 11 goals so far to add to his tally of 12 from last season.
And Vela insists he is fully focused on Real Sociedad and has had no second thoughts about his exit from Arsenal.
“I never regretted joining Real Sociedad and the results have proved me right,” Vela is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
“I think my decision to come here looks even better now. At no time have I felt otherwise, I came here because I trusted the team and thought they could make progress.
“I want to give more, not just this season but in the years to come. I think we can still go higher.”
Vela struggled to make an impact at Arsenal during a six-year spell with the Gunners but the 23-year-old is not contemplating the thought of Arsenal activating a reported buy-back clause in his contract.
“Today I am here and just thinking about Real,” he said. “Arsenal could buy me by paying Real a million Euros more than Real paid.
“I’m going to give everything for the team, what is going to happen next, I do not know.”
