Swansea boss: Pressure is on Arsenal

Swansea manager Michael Laudrup thinks his side could benefit from their underdogs status when they face Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday.

The Swans dismantled high-flying West Brom with a 3-1 win in their last match, taking them up to eighth in the Premier League table, just a point behind inconsistent Arsenal.

Laudrup’s side have only lost one of their last nine matches and the Dane believes their performances against West Brom and Liverpool this week have filled them with confidence.

“It is a different game on Saturday,” said Laudrup after the victory over the Baggies.

“We go up against a very good side with great players who play very well with the ball.

“But it is good for us, there is no pressure on us at all, we go there as underdogs and everyone will expect Arsenal to win, but we go there with four points this week against Liverpool and West Brom so we can go there with confidence.”
