Indulge all your cultural whims this summer with one of three pairs of weekend camping tickets to the Latitude festival, courtesy of the Islington Gazette.

The UK’s favourite multi-arts festival, now in its seventh year, takes place at Henham Park in Suffolk from July 12-15 and boasts an immense line-up of music, comedy, cabaret, theatre, dance and spoken word.

BBC Olympics theme composers Elbow will top the bill on the main stage, alongside the ever-vital national treasure Paul Weller, while Bon Iver plays the opening night in his first major headline slot and only UK festival appearance in 2012.

Further musical highlights include Wild Beasts, The Horrors, White Lies, Rufus Wainwright and his Band, Lana Del Rey and Ben Howard, to name a few.

World-famous concert pianist Lang Lang also makes his outdoor festival debut performing against the spectacular lakeside backdrop of the floating Waterfront Stage, while hit BBC Radio 4 comedy-science show The Infinite Monkey Cage is a Latitude exclusive in the Comedy Arena, with Professor Brian Cox and Robin Ince.

Special sets are also on the cards from comedians Jack Dee, Reginald D Hunter, Greg Davies, Rich Hall, Russell Kane, Lee Nelson, Dave Gorman and Tim Minchin with his rock’n’roll band.

Internationally-renowned performance companies the National Theatre and Sadler’s Wells continue Latitude’s tradition for presenting the best in new dance and theatre, and the Literary Arena will host a rare appearance from American writer Siri Hustvedt, as well as esteemed writers Iain Banks, John Pilger and Paul Mason.

The Poetry Arena hosts the likes of Benjamin Zephaniah, Tony Harrison, John Cooper Clarke and Scroobius Pip too.

But it’s not just these high-grade cultural delicacies on offer – Latitude’s family-friendly ethos means there are several areas dedicated to entertaining all ages, from tots to teenagers.

And if you’re keen to cut your own festival-going carbon footprint, why not join the Tour de Latitude and cycle the 113 miles from London to its Suffolk home?

The eight to 12-hour tour of country villages, starting in Hackney, is for experienced cyclists only, but is helping raise funds for the charity Kenyan Orphan Project, supporting orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya.
