Blocked drains

nlnews@archant.co.uk
02 December 2009
WALKING through our streets and roads shows soon enough that no one in the council work yard has given the order to pump out the solid soil from the drain grilles of our streets that should take our rainfall. Half of them are blocked solid with soil.

The pumping or suction engine should be sent around every street to clear every drain on that street so that no more large scale puddles will swamp us with rainwater after the next rainfall! That would be most helpful thank you. - P. Stevenson, Coombe House, Dalmeny Avenue, N7.
