An award-winning Islington-based social enterprise is inviting school pupils to get up close and personal with leading black female business role models.

The Twenty Ten Club, is launching its Interview an Entrepreneur programme for the 2011-2012 academic year.
The club was set up by Octavia Goredema, from John Spencer Square, Canonbury, to connect, inspire and support black female entrepreneurs and the enterprising women of the future.
The latest scheme will allow students to take over the reins of the Twenty Ten Club website and to nominate pupils to conduct interviews with people they admire.
Ms Goredema, managing director of the Twenty Ten Club, said: “Over the past year the Twenty Ten Club has interviewed over 50 inspiring Black female entrepreneurs and we’re thrilled to provide the opportunity for school students to ask the burning questions they would love to pose. We are proud to champion the success stories of black female business role models and we are excited to welcome our new guest editors on board.”

Octavia Goredema, my daughter, future children, their cousins and friends will thank you for providing a platform which showcases successful black business women like this; encouraging them to be the very best they can be in WHATEVER profession they decide. Should the entertainment or sports industry be for them, great, we can push them to achieve their goals in this field. Should they aspire to be a major player within medicine, law, business, banking or the many other industries out there, then they’ll have role models they can learn about, identify with and be proud of within these fields, because you took the time out to give them a voice and be heard. Keep up the brilliant work!
