A police van attending an emergency call was involved in a collision with a car on Canonbury Road last night.

The incident, near Canonbury Square, happened shortly after 8pm and temporarily closed the road southbound from Highbury Corner.

Pictures from the scene showed significant damage to the front of the Mercedes estate car involved in the collision - but there were no injuries and no arrests have been made, police said.
