A woman and two men have been charged with murder following the death of Mehmet Hassan – who was found beaten to death in his Islington flat.

Leonie Granger, 24, of Balmoral Road, Gillingham, Nicholas Chandler, 28, of Heenan Close, Bow and Kyrran Jackson, 27 of Romborough Way, Lewisham will all appear in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court today (31 March).

Mr Hasan, a 56-year-old father of three and professional gambler, was found dead in his Baxter Road flat on Monday (March 24) after winning £3,000 at the Palm Beach casino in Mayfair.

Four other people arrested in connection with the investigation have been bailed until early June pending further enquiries.
