Detectives investigating a stabbing in King’s Cross that left a teenager fighting for his life have made two arrests.

Two 17-year-old boys were arrested this morning on suspicion of GBH and are in custody.

Police were called to the scene by medics at 10pm on Tuesday and the victim, 19, was found outside Waitrose just off York Way.

He was taken to hospital with what were said to be life-threatening injuries, though Scotland Yard updated his condition today to “critical but stable”.

CCTV footage has been obtained by officers, who also found a knife at the scene. It is believed the victim was attacked by a group who then ran off.

Police are still appealing for information and want to speak to anyone who witnessed the attack, which they said took place in a busy area.

Any witnesses or those with information can call 101 quoting CAD 7897 of September 4. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. You can also tweet @MetCC.
