A cyclist was pulled off his bike and stabbed in a violent robbery by a group of thugs.

The 49-year-old victim was attacked near to Finsbury Park Mosque in St Thomas’s Road, Finsbury Park, on Monday at about 7pm.

His bike and laptop were stolen by the attackers, a small group of young men.

The man suffered a knife wound to his lower back and is now recovering in hospital, where he is in a stable condition. No arrests have been made.

The incident was just around the corner from where a heavily pregnant woman was stabbed in the face and shoulder on Friday. That happened in Seven Sisters Road, not far from the junction with St Thomas’s Road.

Brick Lane Comedy Festival cancelled after opposition from community groups

A comedy festival in east London due to feature acts including Al Murray, Alan Davies and Ed Byrne has been cancelled because of “heavy opposition from local community groups”.
