Two men charged with murdering a Polish builder whose body was found in undergrowth in Tottenham are now set to appear before judges at the Old Bailey next month.
Franciszek Karol Malinkowski, who lived in the Finsbury Park area, died from multiple injuries. The 51-year-old’s body was found on a patch of ground between Ermine Road and South Tottenham station, on the London Overground network, in April.
Luckasz Siek, 32, and Piotr Jarota, 33, appeared at the Old Bailey last month after their extradition from Italy.
They were jointly charged with Mr Malinkowski’s murder alongside lesser charges of manslaughter, causing grievous bodily harm, robbery and fraud.
The pair were remanded in custody to return to the Old Bailey on September 22. They have yet to enter pleas.
Police investigations continue into nine other men who were arrested as part of the probe. They have all been bailed until September 24, while a tenth man now joins two others who have been released with no further action.
