A teenager has been charged following a smash and grab robbery at a jewellers.

Kaneen Gopaul, 18, of St Mary’s Path, Islington, was arrested in connection with the attack on the central London jewellers in which a ­motorbike gang armed with hammers and axes tried to make off with the high-priced goods from H Stain in Victoria Street.

He will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court ­accused of robbery and handling stolen goods.
