Five men will appear in court today charged in connection with a smash-and-grab raid on Selfridges in Oxford Street in June.
After police raided addresses yesterday all the defendants are in custody and will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates Court, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Service confirmed.
The charges against the five men also relate to a robbery at a jewellers in Windsor, Berkshire, in April.
Ritchie Graham, 23, of Southgate Road, Islington, and Ramela Gordon, 18, of Lynmouth Road, Stamford Hill Estate, have been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery at Robert Gatward Jewellers in Windsor and at Selfridges.
Kris Monaghan, 24, also of Southgate Road, and Leon Wright, 25, of Coleridge Road, Finsbury Park, were charged with conspiracy to commit robbery at Selfridges.
Andre Murrian, 19, of Holmleigh Road Estate, Stamford Hill, has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery at Robert Gatward Jewellers.
Two men from north London have already been sentenced in connection with the Selfridges robbery for a total of 21 years.
