Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with an attempted rape in 2011.
The victim was grabbed from behind in a pathway between Caledonian Road and Mureil Street, Islington, at about 10.10pm on October 11 that year. She managed to free herself and run away.
The suspect is described as a skinny white male aged about 20, who was wearing a grey hoodie.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police’s sapphire unit, which specialises in rape cases, are investigating the case.
They want to track down the man in the CCTV still and are calling on the public for help. Anyone with information should contact Det Sgt Brian Richards on 0208 733 5968 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
A man was rushed to hospital with burns in the early hours after a blaze broke out on the Regent’s Canal narrow boat he was aboard.
