The 17-year-old actor, who appeared at Highbury Corner Youth Court on Tuesday and cannot be named for legal reasons, is charged with one count of oral rape and three counts of sex assault against the same boy.

Two of the assaults are said to have occurred in Islington in 2010, while the other incidents allegedly happened at a theatre in south London the same year.

The defendant was 15 at the time and the victim, who also cannot be named, was 14.

The defendant spoke to confirm his name, birthday and address. He did not enter a plea and was ordered by District Judge John Perkins to reappear at Highbury Corner Youth Court on December 4 for a committal hearing. He was granted bail.
