A woman was stabbed in the early hours of Christmas Eve in Holloway.

The woman, who is in her 20s, was knifed in Holloway Road near to the junction with Tufnell Park Road.

Police were called at 12.40am and the woman was rushed to hospital. A Scotland Yard spokesman said she is in a serious but not life-threatening condition.

A man who is also in his 20s was arrested and is being held in custody.
