A jealous thug has been jailed for beating his ex-girlfriend’s new man around the head and putting him in hospital

Abduly Sharif, 19, of Levison Road, Archway, was given five years for GBH with intent after hitting the new boyfriend and a friend repeatedly.

During the attack in Liverpool Road, Islington, in March last year Sharif punched them so hard one of the victims suffered cuts to his head, the Old Bailey was told on March 15.

Sharif had started a campaign of hate against the man courting his former partner, which climaxed in the unprovoked assault.
