Small businesses in Islington can receive free support and advice to break into the £13 billion City supply chain market.
The City of London Corporation has recently injected £300,000 into the scheme in an attempt to get more local businesses to take advantage of the lucrative business market.
The programme, Ready to Supply the City, offers one-on-one mentoring sessions, events and workshops to help micro-size businesses open new sources of revenue.
Mark Boleat, policy chairman for the City of London Corporation, said of the scheme: “This is a valuable opportunity for small businesses to navigate their way out of a difficult period by harnessing game-changing opportunities with major firms.”
