Jez Felwick, 38, and his food van the Bowler are a regular fixture at Kerb, in King’s Boulevard, satisfying people’s hunger with his array of different balls.

Flavours like great balls of fire and wasabi salmon have proved popular with the lunch time crowds and now he has written a book explaining his methods.

He said: “It was always a pipe dream of mine to work with food and publishing the book seems a natural progression. It’s fun and very of the moment”.

The Bowler’s Meatball Cookbook, published by Mitchell Beazley, is out now.
