A schoolgirl who had been missing since the early hours of Saturday has been found safe and well in Islington.

Police sent out an appeal yesterday regarding the whereabouts of Leah Silvester, 14, who was last seen in the Newington Green area at 10.30pm on Sunday.

More than 2,000 readers shared a story on the Gazette website on facebook, asking anyone with information on Leah’s whereabouts to contact officers.
