A new smartphone app hopes to make it easier for people to book Islington sports venues from their phones.

Website MyLocalPitch, a search and booking site for London sports venues, is working with Islington Council to make it easier for people to book their nearest venue.

“The grassroots sports space was crying out for an innovative approach to disrupt the current laborious process,” said Jamie Foale, founder of the firm.

“And unlike booking a cab or curry, booking sport online delivers direct health benefits for society.”
