Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes that it is a positive sign that the Gunners signed Lukas Podolski.

The German, who has 101 caps for his country at the age of 27, completed a deal from Cologne and has linked up with his new team-mate.

“He is an established German international and it’s good to see Arsenal sign a striker like this,” Wright told The Sun.

“Whether Podolski gets the chance to play with Van Persie remains to be seen.”
