Transfer news: Theo Walcott has revealed his agent is in talks with Arsenal over a new contract, and said he’s not thinking about other clubs.

Arsenal’s Theo Walcott has distanced himself from rumours linking him with Chelsea and Liverpool, and revealed that contract talks with Arsenal are ongoing.

Walcott is entering the final year of his contract at the Emirates, but the 23-year-old winger has hinted that he is not distracted by interest from other clubs.

“[Contract talks were] always going to be held back until after the Euros and they continue to talk. We’ll see where it goes,” Walcott told Sky Sports News.

“I didn’t have a clue about [the speculation]. I’m just an honest guy and I like to get on with my job. I don’t want distractions. Like I say my agent and the club will continue to talk and when there is something to know I will get involved.”

The England international made 35 appearances for the Gunners last season, scoring eight goals.
