Keiron Loughney and Harvey Lea-Bramble both recorded braces as Isledon Wolves Under-14s stormed into the next round of the Camden & Islington League Cup with a 5-1 win over Regent’s Park.

Loughney powered past four defenders to smash in the opener and Lea-Bramble’s double sandwiched a Regent’s Park reply.

A second for Loughney was followed by Herbie Lea-Bramble’s strike to round off the scoring. Midfielder Ethan Irvine was Wolves’ man of the match.

Wolves Under-12s put in a dismal performance as they crashed out of the competition with a 4-0 defeat to The Hill, who looked the sharper side all over the pitch.

A late own goal earned Wolves Under-nines a 3-2 victory after they came from behind in their cup tie against The Hill.

Cameron Paul put Wolves ahead, but The Hill snatched two quick second-half goals before Cody Thomas set up Paul to equalise, and then Sidney Kershaw-Shirley’s tantalising cross was deflected into the net by a defender.

Goalkeeper Shelton Poku-Nyako pulled off a series of brilliant saves, including a penalty stop, but it was not enough to prevent a 3-1 defeat for Isledon Wolves Channons Under-nines against The Hill.

The Channons, who have moved up an age group, battled hard and scored through Kai Brown, but The Hill proved stronger and netted three times in reply.

Isledon Wolves Under-eights produced an improved performance but lost out 3-1 in their cup tie against Futebol de Salao.

Jesse Aldridge struck the Wolves’ goal, while there were also eye-catching displays from Valentino Reid and John Lawton.

Henley Wheeler cracked in a late consolation as Wolves’ Cubs Under-eights lost out 2-1 in a tight game against Highbury Wolves.

The Cubs had the better of the game, but conceded twice and were unable to find a way back until Wheeler’s late strike. Goalkeeper Kane Ryle and Alexander O’Connor-Morgan also played well.

Deon Marshall grabbed a hat-trick as Isledon Wolves Under-13s produced their best performance of the season to rout The Heath 8-0 in the league.

Joe Bolger and Teon Levy-Wright netted two goals apiece, while Nicky Marshall completed the scoring. Thierry Okwara was outstanding at the back for Wolves.

Daniel Leonard netted four times, including a first-half hat-trick, as Lyndhurst Eagles Under-16s maintained their push to retain the title by thrashing Futebol de Salao 5-0.

Leonard opened the scoring with a solo goal inside the first five minutes and then tore the FDS defence apart with two more goals to complete a quickfire treble.

James Clare took advantage of Leonard’s back-heel to grab his side’s fourth goal and Lyndhurst maintained control in the second half as Leonard beat three men before slotting home number five.

Lyndhurst are holding trials for players in school Years 1 and 2 to join next season’s Under-eight Saturday morning team at Market Road. For more information, call Bobby on 07760 155 018.
