Despite the dreadful weather conditions, both sides gave it their all and Hayden Miller went close for Wolves before Asam opened the scoring with a drive from the edge of the area.

Regent’s Park got on top after the break, gaining a deserved equaliser, and they could have gone ahead but for two excellent saves from Wolves goalkeeper Jamie Sanches-White.

However, Wolves missed chances of their own and they finally sealed all three points when Asam smashed home his second of the game. Samuel Kyei-Baafour was man of the match.

Sammy Kisunga netted twice as Wolves’ Under-13 A team beat bottom club Futebol de Salao 5-2.

Deon Marshall, Deniz Dervisoglu and Alfie Lusardi were also on target, while Joe Bolger, who never mislaid a pass, was Wolves’ man of the match.

Wolves’ Under-14s hammered Futebol de Salao 5-1, with Herbie Lea-Bramble scoring twice and Ethan Irvine also finding the net to give them a three-goal lead at half-time.

An own goal and an excellent finish from Max Sutton completed the rout, but skipper Keiron Loughney – who, along with man of the match David Mehmeti, had kept the FDS forwards quiet – put through his own net late on.

Billy Flynn’s double helped Wolves’ under-12s to a 3-1 win at Westway after a speculative, bouncing shot from Ollie Campbell had opened the scoring.

Flynn made it 2-0 early in the second half, but Westway hit back straight away before Flynn wrapped up Wolves’ victory with his second of the game.

A series of defensive errors cost Wolves’ Under-15s as they crashed to a 3-0 defeat by league leaders A Class. Max Stipanovsky and goalkeeper Brandon Walsh were the Wolves’ best performers.

Harry Cole and Callum Cushing grabbed two goals apiece as Lyndhurst Lions Under-16s roared to a comprehensive 6-0 success over Futebol de Salao.

The Lions passed the ball with confidence right from the start and Cole put them ahead inside five minutes before Shane Rice doubled his side’s advantage.

Cole added his second after the break and Cushing hit a double, while Brody Walters was also on target to round off Lyndhurst’s best display of the season. Felix Romer was man of the match.

Man of the match Frankie Sabine scored once and supplied three assists as Lyndhurst Under-11s swept aside Pro Touch 6-1 to stay in touch at the top of the table.

Deen Tijani and Emmanuel Makaya both netted twice, while Aala Ezzedine struck his first goal for the club.

Angel Islington Under-11s dominated from start to finish as they beat Westway 3-0 with goals from Julian Sarmiento, Ertugrul Dincer and Edouard Goussot.
