Islington will pay thanks to our servicewomen and men at the annual Remembrance parade on Sunday.
The parade, in Upper Street, starts at 10am outside Union Chapel in Compton Terrace. It will proceed to Islington Green for a service, followed by a two-minute silence and wreath laying.
At noon, there will also be a service at the Spa Green Memorial in Rosebery Avenue, while a community remembrance event will take place in the Royal Northern Gardens, Manor Gardens, at 1.30pm.
Cllr Gary Poole, Islington’s armed forces champion, said: “The Remembrance events held in Islington give us the opportunity to remember those who sacrificed their lives in conflict.
“All are invited to join us at the events happening across the borough throughout Remembrance week, to pay thanks to Islington’s servicemen and women.”
