A charitable councillor helped bring in £1,000 for good causes this weekend.
First, Cllr Greg Foxsmith was auctioneer at a fundraising event which made £700 for Sunnyside Community Gardens in Hazelville Road, Hornsey Rise. The garden was ravaged by fire in July.
Then he got on his bike and rode all the way to Brighton, bringing in £300 for human rights charity Reprieve.
He said: “I have always enjoyed fundraising for charities but this weekend it was really heartening to see local people coming together to support a good cause like Sunnyside.”
