The woman who held Islington’s reins of power for almost four years has been invited to speak at a heritage event.
Cllr Catherine West, leader of Islington Council from 2010 until she stepped down last year, will tell people what the role was like on Tuesday (February 25).
At the talk, organised by the Islington Society, at the Town Hall, in Upper Street, Cllr West explains the pressures of the top job. It’s at 7.45pm, is free and open to all.
