Islington Council’s former crime chief has lost her chance to represent her ward at next year’s election.
Cllr Barbara Sidnell, the executive member for community safety until last year, has been deselected for the 2014 campaign by Labour members in Finsbury Park.
The councillor, who was first elected in 1998, could still stand for council if she puts herself forward in another ward and is selected by party members there.
