One of Islington’s most famous felines is coming home.

Bob the Street Cat who, along with owner James Bowen, shot to fame on the back of a bestselling book about their life on the streets in Islington, will appear at a book signing at Waterstones on Saturday, July 19.

James and Bob will be at the Islington High Street branch from 11am to autograph copies of two new versions of A Street Cat Named Bob – a picture book for children and an abridged version for young adults.

Jo Halpin, supervisor at the store, said: “It’s going to be a huge event and we are really looking forward to it.

“We expect it to be packed so get down early.”
