Police were anxious to talk to dance hall revellers after 22-year-old Colin Best died in a hit-and-run in Upper Holloway.
After leaving the Gresham Ballroom, Mr Best was fleeing a gang of attackers when he was fatally injured by the motorist as he crossed Holloway Road.
Police were trying to find the three men, though officers ruled out them being linked to the hit-and-run driver, who was driving a Ford Cortina or Granada.
They believed club patrons could at least help them identify the attackers. Mr Best, who lived off Holloway Road, died in Whittington Hospital after two days on a life support machine. His family had travelled from Belfast to be by his side.
