The producers of a documentary about Highbury Corner have issued an appeal for eyewitness to the Second World War bombing that killed 25 people.
The 15-minute programme is the pilot episode of a series titled Lost London Buildings, and will tell the story of the V1 bomb that struck Highbury Corner in 1944.
The makers are looking for witnesses and anyone who remembers the original Highbury and Islington train station before it was pulled down in the 1960s.
Assistant producer Will Steel said: “It would be wonderful to include local residents and would give the film an added pertinence. The film will involve an architectural historian explaining what happened to the station and feeding information to a computer generated image expert, who will “recreate” the station in its former glory.”
