A thousand people were given the chance to grace the Emirates Stadium turf.

The event, organised by Arsenal in the Community on Tuesday last week, was a day of fun and games held on Arsenal’s pitch.

A whole host of the group’s programmes were involved, including Kicks and Positive Futures, as well as its disability sports initiatives.

People from the club’s joint venture with the Freedom From Torture campaign – a medical foundation that helps rehabilitate survivors of torture – also took part. The project gives asylum seekers a chance to come together for games of football and English language learning.

Pupils from primary schools, including Ambler in Finsbury Park and Copenhagen in the Cally, also had the chance to play.
