A 12-year-old schoolgirl has been rushed to hospital after being the victim of a hit-and-run.
The motorbike ploughed into the youngster on Prebend Street, Islington, at about 3.15pm today before she was treated at the scene by paramedics and rushed to Whittington Hospital.
A police spokesman confirmed the bike rider did not stop at the scene where the girl was left with a serious leg injury. Her condition is not life-threatening. A London Ambulance Service spokesman said they sent a single responder and ambulance crew after being called shortly before 3.20pm. Witnesses should call police on 101.
