Family and friends of late Islington schoolteacher Tracey Wilson unveiled a bench in her honour in Priory Park, Hornsey last weekend.
Tracey, 55, of Birkbeck Road, a senior teacher at City of London Academy Islington, was hit by a van near St Mary's Tower in Hornsey in January.
Her family including son Courtney and sister Lorraine unveiled the bench on the hottest day of the year so far - Saturday June 27 - as a way of remembering her, while also releasing doves in her honour.
Friends and family had also raised around £500 to help support Courtney and his young son Cody - Tracy's only grandchild.
Lorraine told this newspaper: "It was a beautiful day. It was hard to say it there, but we want to thank all of our friends who came and everyone who raised money for the family."
Tracey had fought cancer and worked at the Prebend Street school for two decades before the collision on Hornsey High Street.
