A woman cab driver who died when a building collapsed on her car is thought to be from Islington.
Julie Sillitoe, believed to be from Pickard Street, Finsbury, had parked her Skoda Octavia in High Holborn at around 11pm on Friday night when concrete masonry fell onto the vehicle.
She was trapped in the car along with one of her two passengers but after firefighters released her from the vehicle she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 39-year-old was married and had three grown up sons and worked as a mini cab driver.
Her next of kin have been informed, although police await formal identification, and a post-mortem examination is due to take place.
The two passengers – a 25-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman – were taken to hospital where their condition is described as non-life threatening.
Ten people were evacuated from nearby buildings as a precaution.
Police from Camden are investigating the incident.
