Residents from an Islington estate got involved with community life at a gardening fun day.
An engagement project has been launched on the Bemerton Estate, off Caledonian Road, Islington, in a bid to get people of all ages more involved in the estate and become more active.
Residents enjoyed a bouncy castle, face painting, planting sunflowers and a host of games and challenges as part of the Bemerton Engage initiative.
Siobhan Dennehy, from the estate, said: “We’ve recently recruited an engagement worker and jointly with Team Cally we’ve been allocated funding, through a national charity called Locality, to recruit three community organisers to help residents get things started – so it’s an exciting time on the estate.”
