Scouts could finally find a new home – four months after hopes of rebuilding their base looked dead.
A new application to knock down the Scout hut in Holloway Road, Holloway, and replace it with a new HQ and seven storeys of housing will go before Islington Council planning chiefs tonight.
It is an amended version of a proposal rejected in April, because the Labour majority on the committee wanted one more unit of social housing.
In the new plans, the number of affordable units has been increased by one to 11, alongside 23 homes at market prices.
