Around 200 parents, teachers and children donned international garb and enjoyed food from all over the world as part Hargrave Park School’s international day.
The colourful event at the Bredgar Road primary, in Archway, gave pupils the chance to celebrate their heritage and share recipes and dress from their countries of origin.
As the sun beamed down on Friday the children took part in a fashion show and sampled delicacies from the four corners of the globe.
John Collins, pastoral care manager at the school, said: “It was an excellent day, really really good. There was a huge amount of food, music and dancing – plus the fashion show, which was excellent.
“It was a nice opportunity for people to exchange ideas and recipes.”
