Brooke Kinsella was joined by fellow Islington-born actors Linda Robson and EastEnders’ Charlie Hawkins at a fundraiser for the charity in her brother’s name.
Shoppers got more than they bargained for when they found the celebrities lining up to pack their groceries at Sainsbury’s in Liverpool Road, Islington, on Saturday.
The stars were raising cash for the Ben Kinsella Trust, one of the supermarket’s charities of the year.
Brooke said: “I am useless at packing bags normally, but I had so much fun packing up shopping to raise money for Ben’s Trust. In two hours we raised almost 800! Thank you to all at Sainsbury’s, our lovely celebs and everyone who donated.”
Ben, 16, was stabbed to death in June 2008 in Holloway and his family set up the trust to help tackle knife crime.
