THREE fire engines were called to a four-story block of flats after a cooker caught alight yesterday (Thursday).
Two crews from Islington fire station and one from Euston tackled a small fire in the kitchen of a flat in Fisher House, off Copenhagen Street, Islington, at around 2pm.
No-one was hurt in the incident.
A firefighter from Islington’s green watch, which dealt with the blaze, said: “Some cooking caught fire but it was quickly brought under control. Everyone was accounted for. The kitchen was left smoke damaged.”
