WHY has Islington Council not – having known the snow was coming – re-filled the yellow bins of salt grit? They have been empty for at least four weeks now.
They don’t grit the side roads and therefore it is up to the residents to take action.
They don’t fill the bins up, so where is the grit that has been allocated to these residential areas gone?
There is a huge community of elderly and frail residents in the Highbury area and it has become a deadly walking area, as the council seems to be neglecting its duties. What is the council tax for?
Surely there is a few pence in our payments which goes to taking care of roads in winter conditions? – Name and address supplied.
