A 16-YEAR-OLD boy was seriously injured when he was stabbed during a street brawl.
The teenager was knifed in Mildmay Place, Newington Green, just before 4.30pm on Tuesday. Police cordoned off the junction nearby Boleyn Road, Mildmay Road and Crossway as an air ambulance helicopter landed at the scene.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said police had spoken to the victim, who was still conscious, as he lay injured at the scene. He was rushed to hospital with a knife wound described as "serious but not critical".
A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a stabbing in Boleyn Road at 4.25pm. Our staff treated a boy reported to be 16 who was taken to hospital."
