TWO people found dead within days of each other in separate incidents in Finsbury have been named.

The body of Patrick Darren Mitchell, 39, was found at a ground-floor flat in Mulberry Court, on the Brunswick Close Estate, in Tompion Street, at 7.50am on September 3.

A post mortem has been carried out to establish the cause of Mr Mitchell's death, believed to be an overdose of heroin substitute drug methadone. An inquest was opened at St Pancras Coroner's Court on September 8 and adjourned to a later date.

Five days earlier the body of a woman was found in a basement car park on the Barbican Estate, half a mile away in Silk Street.

She has been named as German-born Tina Haeunke, 26, by City Of London Police.

Ms Haeunke fell five storeys to her death from the balcony of a third-floor apartment in Thomas More House.

Neighbours laid flowers at the spot where her body was found.

An inquest has been opened at City Of London Coroner's Court.

The two deaths are not connected and are not being treated as suspicious.
