A collection of “high value” jewellery was stolen when burglars broke into an Islington home.
An appeal has been launched after accessories, including sapphire and 18 carat gold items, were stolen on September 16.
It is believed that the burglary in Fitzwarren Gardens, near Highgate, took place between 11am and 2am that day, after a female victim returned to find a large quantity of jewellery was taken.
This included two sapphire and diamond rings, one platinum and sapphire diamond ring, one gold wedding ring, two gold cross and chain necklaces, a pair of 18 carat gold hoop earrings, two pairs of nine carat gold hoop earrings, one gold chain, six pairs of Swarovski earrings and a Swarovski necklace, one pearl necklace, two pairs of silver hoop earrings, one cross engraved fountain pen and a box of various earrings and chains.
Images have been released of three rings stolen and anyone who is offered second hand jewellery through unconventional means is asked to call police immediately.
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting 687/17SEP, or anonymously contact through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
