Arsenal welcome Manchester United to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening in the Barclays Women's Super League. 

Arsenal come into the game top of the table winning all six of their matches to date in the WSL while the Red Devils enter north London in third. 

Arsenal have been hit with an injury crisis before the crunch clash with Kim Kittle stretchered off against West Ham, Jordan Nobbs pulling out of the England squad with Lotte Wubben Moy also pulling out ahead of the Norway clash on Tuesday.

Lina Hurtig came off against Leicester City with a knock and Steph Catley and Caitlin Foord are facing a long trip back from international duty in Australia this week. 

Beth Mead and Manuela Zinsberger left their respective international camps due to personal issues but should be available for battle at the Emirates.

Manchester United suffered their first league defeat last time out against Chelsea with Sam Kerr, Lauren James and Erin Cuthbert netting as the Blues ran out 3-1 winners.

A player to watch for Arsenal is the very much inform Norwegian midfielder Frida Maanum who has racked up 3 goals in 6 WSL games this campaign against Liverpool, West Ham and Leicester City.

Maanum was voted Arsenal’s player of the month for October after her string of fine performances including in the Champions League against current holders Lyon.

Toone signed a new contract with the Red Devils last week, she joined United in 2018 as part of their inaugural FA Women's Championship winning side, and has gone on to score 43 goals and become the club's first centurion with 110 appearances.

The last time the two sides met it finished in a 1-1 draw at Meadow Park with Euro 2022 hero Alessia Russo putting United ahead before Stina Blackstenius equalised for the Gunners.

Katie Zelem's set-pieces were on point throughout and led to the opening goal after 10 minutes, Russo rising highest to head home despite calls for a foul by Hayley Ladd in the build-up.

Arsenal had to play with ten for the final 15 minutes while at 1-0 behind after Katie McCabe was sent off for a second bookable offence. 

However,the Gunners levelled just four minutes later when Blackstenius slotted past Earps after a stunning ball into her path from Vivianne Miedema.

Arsenal have sold more than 33,000 tickets for the top of the table clash.
