A restaurant has been fined for incorrectly displaying a 5/5 food hygiene rating.

Fit Kitchen Ltd, which trades it St John Street in Farringdon, was found guilty of three offences at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on September 14.

An appeal has since been lodged.

Described as a healthy fast-food restaurant, the offences involved the “unauthorised” use of the highest food hygiene rating on the company’s website, as well as on Deliveroo and Uber Eats.

However according to a Food Standards Agency listing, the restaurant was ranked "good" with a 4/5 rating after an inspection on February 17.
